Love it! My daughter has been there for three years and sadly it's her last year. Starting my son in the fall! Great nurturing atmosphere. I also love the co-op part, you get to see the day to day routines & get to know the kids. Can't recommend it enough!
Love, love, love it! Can's say enough about the wonderful, nurturing staff. The kids learn so much through play based activities, my son was so well prepared for kindergarten! We have one more year there with our daughter and I will be so sad to leave!
I loved the small class size and low student/adult ratio. (CCP had the lowest of all the preschools I looked at.) I felt that was very important for my children's first school experience.
CCP has many unique/positive offerings one may not find at other preschools. Three that I particularly appreciated were: 1) School-wide events where the 3 & 4 yo kids prepare songs and decor for and have the opportunity to speak in front of the school and families. 2) Opportunities for parents to meet each other, build community, and learn from each other and the teachers strategies to enhance one's own parenting and to work with other children. (I probably wouldn't be a Girl Scout leader now if it wasn't for CCP.) 3) Classrooms for 1 & 2 yo. This helps kids who are very attached to their parents learn to bond with other trusting adults, social skills, and lots of motor skill development.
My daughters have been here for 4 years now and I could go on and on about our positive experience. The teachers are so wonderful. My oldest was definately prepared for kindergarten both academically and socialy. I highly recommend!
Loved it! The co-op piece was a great way to get to know the other families and is also reflective of the type of learning (through play and cooperation) that is modeled.
As a busy new mom, I enjoyed getting to know other moms and their children! Ten years ago, my oldest daughter met her best friend at CCP. Since then, my son and youngest daughter have gone here too. The school has a kitchen where the teachers cook with the kids. The staff is aware of food allergies and will make accomodations if you talk to them. I like how the snacks are stored at the school so I don't have to pack one for my child everyday. I also like the "lunch bunch" option to extend the day to 1 PM. The educational wing of the church has plenty of windows and provides lots of indoor play space for walks, a slide and bikes and a change of scenery for music or special activities. CCP has a loving atmosphere with plenty of classroom toys and activities. The teachers keep the kids interested and learning to play nicely with friends. Being involved in my child's school also gave me a better idea of the range of normal behavior for preschoolers. I have also learned some good recipies, parenting tips and fun craft activites here! My kids learned through play here at CCP and have transitioned easily to elementary school. We were so lucky that the school enrolled infants too! It allowed us to have all our young children here. I have always found a comforting support at CCP!
